The whale (most likely a Byrde's whale) was discoved stranded on a coral reef by fisherman. Local authorities were alerted and volunteers kept the whale alive until the tide rose high enough for the whale to be towed off the reef. Unfortunately, the corpse of the whale was discovered the next day. It was assumed the animal died of internal injuries sustained during the stranding.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
